Bad Brains recorded in response to tongue-in-cheek "Banned in DC" and it looked bigger and better performance. The band moved to New York City, where the Ramones, Television and Patti Smith have been set up after the flag-like punk.

In 2006, Bad Brains for some shows at the legendary CBGB club in New York, reunited after the place was threatened with closure. This shows fastsold out. With a return to interest in the band in early 2007, the original line-up in the studio for the first time in over a decade.
