romantic comedies are really good at the box office?

Every year around the holidays, we face a new series of romantic comedies that deal with holiday themes. But this film really well at the box office than in other kinds of films? If not, why get so quiet as films from other genres?

Recently, I have a list of the top 100 best-selling film of all time. The list to a mere two films on the list were romantic comedies. Namely, Meet the Fockers, and Pretty Woman. Thus, only 2%the top-grossing film of all time have been romantic? It looks pretty bleak. I suppose the other two films could be described loosely romantic comedies: Ghost and Mamma Mia, but I think Ghost qualifies more as a supernatural romantic film as a romantic comedy. Mamma Mia qualifies more as a musical.

So why the box office year after year on new slate of romantic comedies, romantic comedies, in which only two were box office hits as a massive? How does a filmmaker to get financing for a film, if you would provide to earn less than other films from other genres. In my opinion the main reason that kept romantic comedies ever made, that romantic comedies produced cheaper than in other genres. Therefore, it is easier and faster to do maybe a profit on these movies.

The genres, the successes are the most powerful selling points are also not a surprise, much more expensive. We have our own blockbuster mass balanceRecord hits like Titanic and The Lord of the Rings charge (to the gills with special visual FX, action, stars and elaborate sets and costumes. Then we have our intensive animation category is The Lion King, Shrek and cars, very expensive to create ( compiled for the years sometimes with animation team of the masses.)

In addition, the Hollywood industry wants to make sure seats are filled as the film was released in theaters. Produce romantic comedies, or evengo ahead and just say, why do not we do, "Chick Flicks" are a very safe bet. Women who, year after year are guaranteed to attract people to the theater to watch romantic comedies.

Before going ahead, as me sexist views in this regard, I would just like to point out that I am a woman. And I am a woman who does not like romantic comedies a lot. But I must confess to a very few occasions, put man, kicking and screaming, even under a "Chick Flick".Sometimes the cause is perfect for a romantic comedy, and meets any other film. For example, romantic comedies, an attractive option for dates and romantic occasions like Valentine's Day. You can bet on (and Hollywood can bet, too) that every weekend there are a lot of couples on dates. countless couples to settle in the relatively safe bet to see a romantic comedy.

romantic comedies are not so good at the box office when you look at the movie box office topall the time, but it is easy to see why they are upset every year. When and how do romantic comedies are vs what are broadly appropriate, I am sure that the statistics are very different. These films cost anywhere near as much as action movies, cartoons or FX-driven film-making and have a stable and reliable integrated public. Hollywood has always been a safe bet, and "Chick Flicks" are safe, no doubt. There is always something new, dating back to couplesa movie, choose innocuous looking for something, but romantic.
